Social Media Intern Opportunity
The Capital Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni is looking for a talented Social Media Intern to join our team. The Social Media Intern will support, develop and implement outreach and promotional campaigns to boost our brand engagement with fellow alumni and the local community. This is a remote position and virtual meeting attendance is required. Additionally, this is an unpaid internship position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter
- Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
- Support Capital Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni team via online events
- Assist in the development of creative ideas for new content
- Monitor postings to ensure brand message is consistent with company policy
- Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions through the company's social pages
- Assist in implementing plans to increase followers on the social media websites
Qualifications:
- College students majoring in Communications or related fields will be highly considered
- Excellent verbal written and communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of social media platforms
